5 Days of History, Culture, and Architecture on the Golden Triangle Tour
After a few days of planning and researching my next destination, I opted for a 5-Day Golden Triangle Tour India. It is one of the famous tourist routes that attract visitors to taste what this country is all about. The tour takes visitors to the three most famous cities, Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur making three points of the Golden Triangle Tour Package. Each destination is unique, incredible, and diverse from each other where one can enjoy, learn, and experience new things on each turn and fall in love with them. But I opted for a 5 day Golden Triangle Tour to travel through three different states, experience the fascinating chapters of Mughal history through its architectural marvels, enjoy a vibrant rich cultural heritage, and be with the most hospitable people in the world that lends an added dimension to this tour.
Day 1:-
The starting point of this fascinating tour is the capital city of Delhi. After checking into the pre-booked hotel, I ventured out to explore the city which represents a beautiful amalgamation of old and new. Delhi is decorated with colonial and Mughal architectural marvels, modern skyrise buildings, and wide-tree-lined avenues. Some major attractions include President House, Rajghat, India Gate, Humayun’t Tomb, Qutub Minar, Lotus Temple, Jama Masjid, Red Fort, etc. There are a lot of eateries and local markets like Sarojini Nagar, Dilli Haat, Lajpat Nagar, Khan Market, etc. to enjoy shopping. After a day of hectic sightseeing, we returned to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2:-
We start our day with a healthy breakfast before we make our way from Delhi to Agra. Upon arrival, we took some rest in our pre-booked hotel and then explored major attractions which include the Agra Fort, Itmad Ud Daulah Tomb, Gurudwara Guru Ka Taal, Akbar’s Tomb, Mehtab Bagh, etc. After enjoying the whole day, we returned to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 03:-
We woke up early to visit the Taj Mahal at sunrise when this monument of love was shining in its full glory. It is among the greatest structures in the world and deserves all attention. After enjoying a visit to the incredible Taj Mahal and lunch, it’s time to head to Jaipur, the “Pink City” and capital of Rajasthan. En route, we visited Fatehpur Sikri, the estranged capital of Mughal emperor Akbar. Upon arrival at Jaipur, we checked in at a pre-booked hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 04
After breakfast, we are excited to see major attractions in Jaipur, known for its magnificent forts, palaces, wildlife sanctuaries, and havelis. Our sightseeing tour starts with a visit to Amber Fort, City Palace, Hawa Mahal, Nahargarh Fort, Jal Mahal, Jaigarh Fort, etc. In the evening, we visited local markets to buy fabrics, jewelry, and artifacts and taste some delicious street food. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 05:-
The next morning, we checked out from the hotel for the return journey to New Delhi. The golden memories of our 5-days Golden Triangle Tour India remain with us forever.
